It didn't take me long to decide I wanted a career in fitness. You can make a living kicking it with awesome people having a straight up good time. I have always been very active, with most of my passion going into martial arts. I earned a black belt and black sash, and it was through achievements like these that shaped me into the fitness coach I am today.
I decided to get certified as a personal trainer so that I could pursue a career....that has me absolutely loving my job. I am certified through CFES (Canadian Fitness Education Services) to which I am able to show you proper and safe form in regards to any exercises you may have to do... so we don't go ripping no hamstrings. I am CPR and First Aid certified as well, so I got you if that “all out” suddenly becomes a little too much.
I guarantee you a music bumpin, heart thumpin, crazy wonderful kind of workout. We will get sweaty.
 
WHAT DO YOU BURN FOR?
The incredible feeling I get when I see someone break barriers and push themselves to go beyond what they could before.
 
WHAT’S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE?
My bottomless pit of a stomach. It'll start with a Giant slice of pizza. The Usual to follow is Ice cream, sometimes even with Lindt chocolate melted on top. Twizzlers seem to hit the spot, but it's pretty much anything that would be followed by Yum...
 
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE OTF EXERCISE?

Alix has her Bachelors in Human Kinetics, Major in Clinical from UBC Okanagan. She is CSEP Group Fitness, CALA Aquatic Fitness, BC Sport Aid, and Weight Training certified. She believes that being active is something we owe to ourselves. We should love ourselves enough to live that healthy lifestyle! That means being active, enjoying good food (ask her for recipes!), and getting together with family and friends! Through her welcoming and friendly attitude, Alix has been able to show her passion for fitness as she continues to teach and learn in the industry. She loves seeing individuals accomplish their personal and fitness goals! Besides the gym, Alix enjoys hiking, biking, swimming and backpacking. If you can't reach Alix by phone, she's likely somewhere out of service!
You will probably best know Kaylie for her audacious laugh that will likely be the first thing you hear when you step foot into our beautiful studio. Born and raised in Kelowna, Kaylie has an appetite for everything Okanagan (and everything edible…) – growing up spending winters at Big White and summers on the boat she has a heart for fun and adventure which is exuded through the excitement and energy she brings to her OTF classes! She is a certified Personal Training Specialist (she’s a stickler for proper form), has competed in fitness competitions, half marathons and is deeply passionate about everything health & fitness!
  •  What do you burn for? More energy and to feel strong in both body and mind.
  • What is your guilty pleasure? My not so guilty pleasure/ addiction is my green protein pancake that I eat EVERY SINGLE MORNING but also, I literally cannot say no to pizza, wine and baked goods.
  • What is your favorite OTF exercise? ALL OF THEM but I get especially excited to rep out a bunch of POP JACKS and I love giving people burpies!!!

HEART MONITORED TRAINING

 

Backed by the science of post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), our heart-rate monitored training is designed to keep heart rates in a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. Our clients burn an estimated 500 to 1000 calories per workout. We are 5 zone heart-rate interval training.

COACH SUPPORT

 

Working out in a group provides accountability and structure to help achieve fitness goals. You are more likely to get a great workout and better results from the well-rounded movements and pace direction you get in a group setting. The session motivates each other to pick up the pace and reach beyond plateaus. People who workout in groups stick to their goals more consistently than those that workout alone.
